Frownfelter Lohrke Cynthia

Cynthia Frownfelter-Lohrke, professor of accounting in 色虎视频’s Brock School of Business, has been named president of the Accounting Information Systems Educator Association (AISEA). She will serve as president for the 2021-22 term.

Created in 1999 as a national educational organization, the AISEA’s mission is to help enhance accounting information systems (AIS) professors’ teaching skills. The organization hosts an annual conference, which includes sessions on topics including AIS instructional methods, computer software, blockchain technologies, and data analytics. It also disseminates research through the AIS Educator Journal

Frownfelter-Lohrke has been active in AISEA for almost two decades. Along with presenting frequently at its conference, she has served on its board in various positions. She currently serves on the journal's editorial review board.

A member of 色虎视频’s faculty since 2000, Frownfelter-Lohrke teaches courses in accounting concepts, accounting information systems, and data analytics. She also holds a certification as an information systems auditor (CISA) from ISACA®. Prior to her academic career, she earned her CPA and worked in public accounting as an auditor and consultant.
